Sea World Whale Watch is growing rapidly and there are a variety of roles within the Company structure including: Ticketing & Reservations, Sales & Marketing, Managers, Vessel Masters and Tour Guides.
The duties of a Tour Guide include tour hosting and narration, whale and general wildlife spotting, general deckhand duties, care of seasick passengers, vessel cleaning and detailing, ticketing & reservations, retail sales, sales and promotions and cafe work.
Full-time, part-time and casual positions are either currently open for application or will become open for application at various times during the year.

For Tour Guide applicants we suggest you get our attention and display your talents in a practical environment by first working with Sea World Whale Watch as a volunteer. Volunteer positions are available from June to November every year.
Sea World Whale Watch is currently offering successful applicants a rare opportunity to be involved in the first long-term whale research study on Australia’s Gold Coast. During the whale season positions are available for suitable volunteers to crew aboard the world’s most advanced whale watching vessel Spirit of Migloo.

What is the schedule?
Volunteers can book research instalments of a minimum of 2 weeks and up to 5 months. The whale season runs from June to November.

Volunteer Programme - Terms & Conditions
Minimum volunteer period is two weeks. Quoted cost does not include travel, airfares, meals, accommodation or insurance. Booking and payment must be made in advance. Booking subject to availability. All costs quoted include GST (Australian Government Goods & Services Tax). Volunteers must be prepared to sign release documents abrogating Whale Watch Australia Pty Ltd t/a Sea World Whale Watch from any responsibility in the event of death or injury to the volunteer or any death or injury or damage to the possessions of any third party caused by the volunteer. Volunteers must be interviewed and accepted prior to entering research programme. If the volunteer is stood down by Management for violating Whale Watch Australia t/a Sea World Whale Watch Company policies during their volunteer period no refund will be provided. No refunds provided if volunteer cannot start or complete booked volunteer period. Other terms and conditions apply to this volunteer programme.
