Child age is 3 to 13 years inclusive. For safety reasons Sea World Whale Watch do not allow children less than 3 years old on whale watching tours. Open ocean whale watching tours are not recommended for young children. Children and teenagers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Seniors must present an Australian or New Zealand Government issued Senior Card at check-in to receive the Senior ticket rate.
Passengers in wheelchairs must notify Sea World Whale Watch at least 24 hours before tour departure so our crew can prepare the vessel and assist with boarding procedures. We cannot accept wheelchair bookings within the 24 hour notice period.
If you have mobility or health problems you must inform us when booking. Passengers must follow the directions of our staff before, during and after the tour. If you are accompanied by children you are responsible for their safety at all times.
Sea World Whale Watch and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to passengers or any loss or damage to personal possessions. Cancellations made within 24 hours of a booked tour will not be refunded. Separate cancellation conditions apply to group bookings and Combo Tickets.
A full refund will be offered if Sea World Whale Watch cancels a tour. A full refund will be offered if your whale watch tour fails to sight a whale from JUNE to OCTOBER only. If your tour fails to sight a whale during the months of MAY and NOVEMBER you will not be provided with a refund of any kind or a free return tour. No other refunds provided. Refunds provided at the Sea World Cruise Terminal are for tickets purchased at this location only. All other refunds must be provided by the original seller of the ticket. Re-booking is subject to availability. Separate refund conditions apply to Combo Ticket holders (see below).
Sea World admission is valid only for the day of the booked Sea World Whale Watch tour or the day following. Sea World admission ticket is issued only at the Sea World Cruise Terminal upon check-in for the Sea World Whale Watch tour. Entire Combo Ticket invalid once refund provided. See above for refund policy. Passengers who purchase a Combo Ticket and choose to enter Sea World before their booked Sea World Whale Watch tour will not be refunded if the whale tour is cancelled or if a whale is not seen during the tour.
$5 per person transfers are valid for a single day use one return trip per passenger to the Sea World Cruise Terminal from Gold Coast holiday accommodation within the designated pickup area. The $5 per passenger rate applies to adults, children of all ages including infants and Senior Card holders. $5 per person transfers available only to full fare paying passengers pre-booked on a Sea World Whale Watch tour and for the 10:00am tour departure time only. No transfers available for 2:00pm tours. No transfers available for those with their own vehicle transport. Transfers are not available to passengers who have purchased a discount ticket of any kind. Sea World Whale Watch and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to passengers or any loss or damage to personal possessions sustained during the transfer. Sea World Whale Watch is not liable or responsible if the transfer service fails to arrive at the Sea World Cruise Terminal before the departure of your whale tour. Sea World Whale Watch is not liable or responsible if passengers miss or fail to board the transfer service at the designated pickup/departure time. Passengers are advised there may be a significant waiting time at their accommodation and Sea World Cruise Terminal for transfer service to arrive and depart. Transfers may be affected by Sea World Whale Watch tour return times which can be delayed by whale behaviour or sea conditions. Sea World Whale Watch is not liable or responsible for providing a transfer from the Sea World Cruise Terminal back to Gold Coast accommodation if a whale watching tour is cancelled or delayed. Passengers may return to their Gold Coast accommodation via the 1.30pm, 3:45pm or 4.50pm transfer (4.50pm transfer has no stops past Broadbeach) from the Sea World Cruise Terminal free of charge. If these times are not suitable, passengers will need to make their own way back to their accommodation at their own expense. If cancellation results in a passenger re-booking a whale watching tour then a complimentary single return transfer per person will be provided for the re-booked tour date. Terms and conditions of transfer service may change without notice.
A full refund will be offered if your whale watch tour fails to sight a whale from JUNE to OCTOBER only. Sea World Whale Watch reserves the right to take photographs and video footage during the tour that may include passengers and to use these photographs and video images for the purpose of advertising and promoting our tours in all media in perpetuity and without payment to the passenger/s.
All our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax). All credit card transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Sea World Whale Watch Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed for the cruise originally purchased. Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed at the Sea World Cruise Terminal check-in counter inside the Sea World Cruise Terminal building situated in the carpark outside Sea World. When presenting a child or senior Gift Voucher at check-in you must provide proof of age. An Australian or New Zealand Government Seniors Card with some form of photographic identification is required for seniors. No replacements will be issued for lost Gift Vouchers. Gift Vouchers cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded and are not valid with any other offer. Bookings are essential. If you choose to purchase a Gift Voucher for a Sea World Whale Watch plus Sea World entry ticket (Combo Ticket) special terms and conditions apply – see Combo Ticket terms and conditions above.
A deposit of 50% of the value of the group booking must be made at the time of booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 14 days prior to the tour departure date or the booking will be cancelled and no refund provided. Group tours that cancel within 7 days of the tour departure will not be refunded at all. A full refund will be provided if Sea World Whale Watch cancel a tour for any reason. A full refund will be provided if the tour fails to sight a whale from June to October.
